Every semester students in Geography 311 complete a lab where they learn to design databases and collect field data. For the last several semesters we’ve been partnering with UT Facilities Services and UT Sustainability to collect sustainability related data including bike racks, water bottle filling stations, and trash and recycling containers. We recently learned that the data our students collected is being incorporated into the upcoming Pace Bike Share program here in Knoxville. Very proud of our students for supporting both our campus and our community.
